Who we are
We are Amélie and Christophe, Swing dance partners and long-time collaborators. Our shared passion for Swing dance—and more specifically, Lindy Hop—has led us on a unique entrepreneurial journey.
This adventure began in 2017, with the creation of Swivells, the very first brand of Swing dance shoes designed not only for dancers but also adapted to everyday life. Our responsibly designed shoes combine comfort and style to accompany dancers from morning until night—without any hindrance or discomfort.
Today, they are worn in over 40 countries around the world, not only by dancers but also by non-dancers who appreciate responsible, stylish, and comfortable footwear.
Our mission
What we do
As passionate dancers, our goal is to contribute to the growth of Swing dancing around the world. We began with Swivells and our mission to reduce foot, knee, and back injuries—common issues among Swing dancers.
We also place great importance on dance education. After traveling to festivals all over the world, we created our own Swing dance school in Paris, Jazzy Feet, as well as an online Swing dance class platform, Jazzy Steps.
Finally, we’ve been proud sponsors, since the very beginning, of the Frankie Manning Foundation, a non-profit organization that, among other initiatives, helps individuals from underprivileged backgrounds thrive through learning to dance.

Amélie Barrande
Amélie spent many years working in the film industry before discovering a passion for Swing dancing, which led her, in 2014, to start teaching dance in the evenings after work.
Running around film sets by day and dancing every night in unsuitable shoes eventually took its toll—she suffered a foot injury during the European Championships.
That’s when she began to take an interest in the issue of footwear in the Swing scene. Dance shoes are expensive and usually reserved for the dance floor. As a result, dancers often wait many years before making what is, in fact, an essential investment. Many, like her, end up getting injured. This reflection ultimately led, a year later, to the creation of Swivells shoes.
Co-founder
Christophe Cholot
Christophe began his career by founding a marketing agency specializing in social media. At the same time, driven by his passion for Lindy Hop, he dedicated himself intensely to numerous classes and training sessions before diving into international festivals. One foot in the marketing world, the other on the dance floor!
After selling his agency, he seized the opportunity to fully dedicate himself to his passion. That’s how he founded Jazzy Feet, a school devoted to swing—a dream come true.
Together with Amélie, they took the time to bring an idea to life that they had been thinking about for a long time: creating shoes designed specifically for swing dancers. That’s how Swivells was born. Today, he splits his time between managing Jazzy Feet and growing Swivells—a perfect balance between a passion for dance and an entrepreneurial spirit.
